10 Weird State Law

So we’ll kick off today’s episode with a weird – or, a very weird – state law that takes place in America. If you didn’t know, there are many strange and unnecessary individual state laws throughout the country, things like in California it’s legal to own as many frogs from frog-jumping contests as you want – but if any of the die you can’t eat them or you may go to jail. Or how in several different counties in Maine it’s illegal to skateboard on the sidewalk. Yeah, I can’t make this stuff up… or, I could, but that wouldn’t be fun. Anyway in Seattle, Washington – it’s illegal for a woman to sit on mans lap on public transportation – without, get this – a pillow in between them. Ok first of all I know all my fellas out there are saying ‘well what’s the fun in that?

9 Daylight Saving Time

Alright so this next one, to us here in the states, is gonna come as a bit of a doozey – but some countries don’t deem it necessary to practice daylight savings time. Yeah, seriously. Now, despite what you may have heard, daylight savings time wasn’t a grand idea to help farmers. An Entomologist in New Zealand first proposed the idea back in the year 1895, but it wasn’t adopted. During the first World War the German Empire used the idea of saving daylight as a way to help with the conservation of coal. After that a few other countries began the practice as well, but we don’t need coal to give us our energy anymore, so, do you think it’s still something that we should continue to do? After all, plenty other places around the world have decided to toss that idea aside, so let us know what you think before today’s video is over!

8 NASA Secret

Let’s take it back to 1986. Now we won’t play the devasting part of this clip, but during a rocket launch for The Challenger in 1986 the fuel tank exploded and all 7 crew members unfortunately lost their lives. As horrific as that is, NASA’s first explanation made it seem as if it wasn’t all that bad – if that’s even possible. They claimed that the crew wouldn’t have experienced any pain during the explosion, as they were all unconscious in the cabin as it was depressurized. Well, it was later found out that that statement was just a cover up, and each crew member was definitely awake as the began ringing out. Some reports even suggest that NASA didn’t take the proper precautions to prevent this catastrophe from happening

7 Rise to Heaven

Do you believe in heaven? OK check this one out. This video was taken off the coast of Florida, south eastern most part the United States. Towards the middle of the screen, out over the water, you can see what appears to be some kind of being floating over the ocean. As you continue to watch it rises higher and higher into the sky, until it eventually just kinda disappears. What the heck could this be? Some have speculated that it is an angel, or some kind of message from a god. If that’s the case, then what do you think that message was? Or – when you try and think logicially about this, maybe it has to just be nothing really – a play with the lighting? I’m not so sure. How do you feel about this floating shadow, and what do you think it could mean?
