एक के बाद एक लगातार 8 धमाकों से पूरा श्रीलंका दहल गया है। रविवार सुबह को हुए इन धमाकों में 3 चर्च और 3 फाइव स्टार होटलों को निशाना बनाया गया है। वहीं सातवां और आठवां धमाका दोपहर को हुआ। न्यूज एजेंसी एएफपी ने बताया कि धमाकों में कम से कम 158 लोग मारे गए हैं, जबकि 400 के आसपास घायल हैं। मरने वाले लोंगों में 35 लोग विदेशी हैं। पहला धमाका कोलंबो में सैंट एंटनी चर्च और दूसरा धमाका राजधानी के बाहर नेगोम्बो कस्बे के सेबेस्टियन चर्च में हुआ। वहीं तीसरा धमाका पूर्वी शहर बाट्टिकालोआ के चर्च में हुआ। इसके अलावा जिन होटलों को निशाना बनाया गया है, उनमें द शांगरीला, द सिनामॉन ग्रैंड और द किग्सबरी शामिल हैं।
