What happens when you fire a Civil War mortar at a caravan?

We invited YouTuber Tom Scott to find out. The mortar used is a replica of Roaring Meg, which destroyed large parts of Goodrich Castle during the siege by Colonel Birch in 1646.

An explosive iron shell hitting a caravan would surely cause devastation. But only if we could hit it…
